Microsoft Windows Hardware Quality Labs (WHQL)

Need to get your product certified for the Microsoft Logo Program? To qualify for the “Designed for Windows” logo, hardware and drivers must pass the Driver Test Manager (DTM) Suite developed by Microsoft's Windows Hardware Quality Labs (WHQL). Teligy can perform the WHQL Logo pre-submission test procedures, required by Microsoft, on your hardware. We use the most current version of DTM to verify compatibility with Microsoft Windows (i.e. Windows XP, Server 2003, Vista, and 64-bit editions). The following are the two most common WHQL project options.

Software Design with Microsoft WHQL Logo Test and Defect Resolution

Submit your product to Teligy early in the design process. Teligy will work with your engineering team to validate the hardware design and prepare a software design document. Teligy will then create the software needed for your device, which may include custom interfaces, device drivers, firmware, test programs, other application software and configuration utilities.

Our software test process includes execution of the Driver Test Manager Suite and creation of DTM logs. Teligy will analyze the log files for defect identification, and correct all non-compliant software sections. All product software issues are tracked in our custom defect tracking system.

We will work with your engineering team to isolate any hardware defects and advise on options for defect resolution. Teligy will also facilitate communication between your team and Microsoft to resolve any hardware compatibility issues, identify relevant test waivers, and complete the certification process.

Microsoft WHQL Logo Test With Defect Resolution

Submit your test product and existing device drivers to Teligy. Teligy will run the Hardware Compatibility Test, and generate a full set of test logs. Teligy will then analyze the log files for defect identification and characterization, and also track these defects in our custom defect tracking system. Upon completion of this analysis we will advise you how to proceed for defect resolution and provide a detailed proposal for addressing all software issues. After review with your team, Teligy will make the necessary updates to your product software and prepare a final set of DTM logs that validate compliance with all required tests.
